A neXus gathering is many things — each one shaped by people at neXus and inspired by God’s spirit to create a worship experience that is:
People of all ages enjoy the sense of family at neXus. Families worshipping together is important, and children are always welcome at neXus gatherings. For those who desire, there is also nursery care available for infants and toddlers, as well as traditional Sunday School for children through 5th grade.
Music at neXus is eclectic. Really! From the U2charist to special blues-based services, John Mayer to Johann Sebastian Bach, and everything in between, music moves us to new ways of thinking. The neXus band can breathe new life into old, cherished hymns and glean fresh insight from songs we thought had no meaning…and we discover how God speaks to us in more ways than one.
neXus is mission-minded……embracing a common desire to be intentional about sharing God's grace and love with all people. We seek to make compassionate connections outside the pew through worship offerings, awareness and outreach activities. Each month, neXus responds to a specific missional focus and welcomes the opportunity to make a difference in our community, country and world. Other organizations and initiatives neXus has made compassionate connections with include:
Northwest MI Food Coalition | National Cherry Festival | Community Meals | Food Rescue | Love For Children | Safe Harbor | Clara's Cupboard | Munson Manor Hospitality House | Take Out Sunday | Traverse Bay Poverty Reduction Initiative
"It's a dance that we get to dance together instead of witnessing someone else dancing."
